App Privacy Policy
Tenth District of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc.

The Quemmunicator App is a mobile extension of The Quemmunicator, the official publication of the Tenth District of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc. The app provides access to District publications, stories, member features, story submissions, notifications, events, and related communications. The Tenth District respects the privacy of app users and seeks to collect and use only the information reasonably necessary to operate these functions.
1. Information We Collect
Depending on how you use the app, we may collect or maintain your name, Control Number, chapter affiliation, email address, account credentials, and information associated with access to your account.
When you voluntarily submit content for editorial consideration, information may also include your name, email address, chapter, story or article text, event information, photographs, captions, supporting documents, file attachments, and other information you choose to provide.
2. How We Use Information
Information collected through the app may be used to verify or provide member access; operate, secure, and improve app functionality; communicate District or publication information; review story submissions; publish approved content; provide user assistance; and support the editorial and administrative functions of The Quemmunicator.
3. Member Accounts
Eligible Tenth District members may receive account access using their Control Number and related credentials. Members are encouraged to use My Account to verify that their email address is current and update it when necessary. Users are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of their credentials and should change temporary or initial passwords when prompted.
4. Story Submissions and User-Provided Content
Story submissions are subject to editorial review. Submitted stories, photographs, documents, captions, and other information may be edited for clarity, length, accuracy, style, and publication standards. Submission does not guarantee publication. Approved content may appear in The Quemmunicator App, print or digital editions of The Quemmunicator, and associated Tenth District communications.
5. Information Sharing
Personal information is not sold to advertisers. Information may be accessible to authorized Tenth District personnel and service providers when reasonably necessary to operate, maintain, secure, or support the app. Information may also be disclosed when required by law or reasonably necessary to protect the security, integrity, rights, or safety of the app, the Tenth District, or its users.
6. Third-Party Services
The app may rely on third-party services for hosting, authentication, file storage, notifications, document viewing, email-related functionality, and other technical functions. These providers may process information necessary to perform those services and may maintain their own privacy and security practices.
7. Data Security
Reasonable administrative and technical measures are used to protect information associated with the app. However, no electronic system, transmission method, or storage system can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
8. Data Retention and Deletion
Information is retained only for as long as reasonably necessary to provide app services, administer member access, maintain publication and editorial records, satisfy legitimate District operational needs, or meet applicable legal obligations.
Users may request correction or deletion of personal information associated with the app by contacting Tenth District Public Relations. Requests will be reviewed and fulfilled when appropriate, subject to legitimate record keeping, publication, security, and legal requirements. Published editorial material may be retained as part of the historical record of The Quemmunicator and the Tenth District.
9. Your Choices
Users may review or update certain account information through My Account. Users may also contact Tenth District Public Relations regarding account information, privacy questions, story submissions, or requests concerning personal information.
10. Children
The Quemmunicator App is a District publication and communications platform and is not designed to knowingly collect personal information from children through member accounts. Public-facing content may include information about District programs and activities involving youth when appropriate and authorized for publication.
11. Changes to This Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy may be updated as the app, its features, legal requirements, or District practices change. The current version will be made publicly available, and the effective date will be updated when material revisions are made.
